The compact MIM magnetic flow meter offers ultra low flow range capabilities not available with similar devices. It includes an IO-Link and is made completely of stainless steel. In addition to integrated temperature measurement, the MIM offers bi-directional flow measurement.
The MIM has two individually configurable outputs that can act as a pulse, alarm, or analog output which makes it easier to integrate into different processes or auxiliary circuits and they can be programmed quickly via the intuitive menu. Functions such as partial totalizer display, temperature measurement, or maximum flow can be applied to the hot-keys so there is no need to navigate through multiple levels.
The multi-line LCD display offers a better view than other comparable devices and displays the corresponding unit or other information in addition to the measured value. For instance, the display color changes when a certain flow rate has been reached making batching and monitoring easier. The desired dose can be conveniently selected by optical buttons on the home screen of the display and the batching process can be started and stopped through an external control input and the quantity can be changed at any time. The exceptional response time enables more precise batching.
The MIM magnetic flow meter also comes in a remote version to accommodate hot media or temperature-controlled environments. Unlike other devices, the part in contact with the media only contains the sensor. All the electronics are housed apart from the sensor unit via a cable and allows the MIM to excel in temperatures from -40°F to 284°F.
The MIM is offered in NPT-threaded or Tri-Clamp fittings. For flanged connections or applications requiring much higher flow rates, please view our MIS Magnetic Flow Meter.
For applications requiring a different build material for media compatibility, please view our MIK Plastic Magnetic Flow Meter which is ideal for chemicals, caustics, acids, and other conductive liquids.
The MIM operates via the electromagnetic (or magnetic-inductive) technology principle. To learn more about magnetic flow technology and the advantages and limitations of magnetic flow meters, please visit our in depth article about Magnetic Flow Meters.
